Egyptian CF Mom, Aya Osam is raising three children, two who have CF. Aya and her husband Yehia have daughters Maria and Sophia who have CF, and their son named after his father.

Concerned for the girl’s health the family traveled from Cairo to Ann Arbor, Michigan to see Dr. Samy Nasr. Aya says she knows she knows she’s lucky, because not every CF family has the means to travel to the U.S., not once, but twice with the hope of moving her to continue the girl’s CF care.

At this time the CF modulators the girls need are not available in Egypt. The family hopes when they can acquire a visa, they plan to move to Michigan.
